JCRATO 65-01 JUNIOR CANADIAN RANGERS PROGRAMME - CONDUCT AND APPEARANCE
GENERAL
1. The conduct and appearance of those involved in the Junior Canadian rangers (JCR) Programme shall, on all occasions, be such as to reflect credit on the Canadian Forces (CF) and the JCR Programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES
2. All those involved in the JCR Programme shall:
- become acquainted with, and obey, all regulations, orders, and instructions judged necessary for the performance of their duties; and
- conform to the established policies of the JCR Programme.
UNIFORM
Volunteers
3. All screened and approved volunteers are issued clothing as outlined in Scale of Issue D08120, JCR Equipment and Clothing.
JCR
4. All JCR are issued clothing as outlined in Scale of Issue D08120, JCR Equipment and Clothing.
GENERAL
5. Issued clothing will be worn, where practical, at all JCR activities. While there are no regulations for personal appearance, restrictions may be placed on those involved in the JCR Programme for reasons of safety or hygiene. Care shall be taken to keep issued clothing clean and in good repair. Issued and civilian clothing can be mixed to provide adequate protection when required.
6. Issued clothing that has been lost or damaged may be replaced at no cost to the Volunteer or JCR.
7. Director Cadets & Junior Canadian Rangers (D Cdts & JCR) is the approving authority for the wearing of badges and accoutrements on the Volunteer and JCR uniforms.
SMOKING
8. Smoking at JCR activities is to be discouraged and may be prohibited as required. No tobacco products will be sold during JCR activities. Adults should not smoke in the presence of JCR.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
9. Those involved in the JCR Programme shall not possess or consume alcohol during JCR activities and shall not participate if they are under the influence of alcohol.
10. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs shall be used as directed.
Contravention of Alcohol and Drugs Policies
11. Suspected or alleged contravention of alcohol and/or drug policies shall be immediately reported to the Canadian Rangers Patrol Group (CRPG) CO. CRPG CO shall inform D Cdts & JCR if charges have been laid against persons involved in the JCR Programme.
12. Suspected or alleged contravention of the drug policy shall be reported to the military police and/or civilian police. If there is reliable evidence that policies have been contravened, action may be taken to remove persons from involvement with the JCR Programme.
